Today's post is really about making more money. YES! Here's the thing. It's great to want to serve your purpose in the world and help someone transform their life by buying your service or widget.
But if you are only making enough to pay your bills and you can't seem to get to the next level, then your stress and financial plateau keeps your “big picture” out of reach.
Do you truly want what you have on your vision board? Then keep reading...
Here are my top 3 “secrets” to getting to that next level.
1. You need to do the mindset work.
But it's not just any mindset work! It needs to be the kind that is EFFECTIVE. This kind requires you actually taking a look at your shit versus attempting to “cover” it with a gazillion affirmations.
If you have a emotional baggage (whether it's grief, anger, resentment, or shame) it is totally going to impact your actions. It is the nature of the beast. And we all have issues. We all have crappy past experiences that completely warp the way that we think about certain situations.
You will NOT take action if both your mind and physical body encode it as dangerous to you.
In the video above, I give an example of the helpful kind of mindset work, and the kind that makes you THINK you are working on mindset, but you aren't. WATCH IT!
2. You need to be willing to take a risk.
Entrepreneurship is about just that, taking risks. If you try to play it safe and do everything on a budget, or without DOING the hard stuff, you'll never grow.
And if you are one that wants to be EXACTLY where you are in 20 years, then keep doing what you are doing. There are lovely souls that are like that. No judgement. But this is how mindset differs between entrepreneurs and people who are satisfied with a “job” (even if they hate it).
3. You need to be able to do the stuff that scares you.
Which brings me right back to number one.
- Spending money.
- Having money.
- Being successful.
- Putting yourself out there.
All of these things trigger fear and discomfort. And if you aren't doing the mindset to work around them, then you will continue to self-sabotage, usually through various forms of procrastination.
Again, I encourage you to watch today's video. I talk specifically about where I am now versus five years ago, and what it took to get there.
If you are an established entrepreneur, and you have hit that financial plateau but can't seem to get past it through your regular marketing efforts, I invite you to get on the phone with me for a complimentary breakthrough call.
