We all have a “THING”. Maybe we struggle with physical health problems, mental health challenges such as depression and anxiety, or are on a journey of healing from being a victim of violence.
WE ALL HAVE A THING! There is no such thing as a 100% CONFIDENT being because they have such a PERFECT life that there is no struggle and things are super swell with tons of fairy dust and unicorn sprinkles.
And if this were the case, we would all be broke because no one would need our services of healing, empowerment, compassion, beauty, or spiritual growth.
If you are looking at your THING as damaging, and defining yourself by it, you are doing yourself a great disservice. This THING doesn’t define you, it is just a part that you decide to (or not to) overcome.
The truth is your THING is probably your greatest power. It is what drives you to serve others whether you are a coach, support person, or artist that is creating brilliant, emotion-filled artwork.
Most of the clients I work with use the energy behind their struggles to create their big WHY. Our struggles drive our passion. They are our greatest learning experiences. They are what helps us empathize and connect with others who have experienced the same difficulties.
Today, express gratitude for your THING. Then decide whether it will define you, or whether you will use it to your benefit.
