Susanne Mealer, my biz partner in crime, is joining me on this week’s blog and podcast episode. I hope that she will become more of a regular fixture as two brilliant (ahem) minds are better than one. I am not sure how that will look, but the wheels are indeed spinning.
Tis’ the season for creating New Year’s resolutions. Personally, I don’t do it as I tend to re-evaluate my goals many times a year. Plus, the research shows that most people that set New Year’s resolutions have totally abandoned ship by mid-February. I guess this was important enough for someone to “research”.
This week Susanne and I talk about the impact of resolutions on confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth. Setting goals for yourself is a good thing as it is important to have a clear understanding of what you want and where you are going both personally and in business. However, when you set goals based on the expectations of a societal practice that suggests that you “should” do this once a year, along with the message that you pretty much suck if you don’t keep them, then it can do more damage than good.
We also talk some practical tips to help you boost your confidence, self-esteem, AND self-worth regardless of where you are on your journey.
