Greetings from Prague!
I have been through Paris, Brussels, and Warsaw. This is stop #4.
It has been quite interesting to witness the diversity of each major city from the demeanor of the people, to the feel on the streets, to the food.
I must say, being gluten, dairy, and sugar free has not really been my friend this trip. The folks in Paris have no idea what to do with me when I tell them I can't eat butter, cream, cheese or their plethora of bread and pastries.
Brussels was a little bit food-friendlier, only due to the fact that there are so many nationalities residing there, so you can pretty much find any kind of feast you want. One of our favorite place there happened to be an English pub right down the street from the hotel.
Growing up in the Polish culture, I was completely prepared for the meat, kraut, and potato onslaught. My favorite food dish, pierogi (similar to a dumpling), I can no longer eat due to the flour shell and potato and cheese stuffing. So while there was a lot of love lost there, I do have fond memories of the ones my Aunt made, and frankly, I have yet to find a pierogi that has been better anyway. Well, at least during my former gluten-eating days.
I am finding Czech food to be similar to the Polish fare, though we did eat at a fabulous Italian and then Indian restaurant as frankly, I couldn't bear another heavy meal.
The ONE perk for me has been the European breakfasts. I can get eggs, fish, veggies, olives, and actual REAL food. I have no idea how American breakfast fare became PopTarts and frozen waffles. So sad.
Needless to say, we have gone from food challenges, to armed guards with assault rifles, to very little police presence, to the comfort of hotels, to quirky Air B&B's with 5-7 flights of stairs and no lift, to the peaceful yet body-altering experience of Thai massage, and finally to evacuations due to train station bomb threats.
Both the slight and vast differences of each country remind me of the diversity of human beings, specifically who we are at soul level.
I have had the opportunity this trip to catch up on some teachings from my mentor, and make some of my own soul-level tweaks.
We all manifest what we want in a certain way. We each have a different perception of what is comfortable and where we fit in. And we each have a different combination of gifts that helps us get what we want.
When you are experiencing LACK or STRUGGLE, it's a good sign that you have STRAYED from who you are at soul-level and have adopted what others are doing instead.
The funny thing about coaching and advice is that even though it is usually well- intended, and actually does work for somebody, it can totally lead YOU astray.
You get a divine self-expression soul trying to teach a sage how to do public speaking. That's like trying to teach Yoda from Star Wars to be like Tony Robbins.
You often find a soul (who manifests internally) teaching someone (who needs external interaction) to reach their goals by creating a vision board. This is like trying to use a wrench to hammer in a nail. Wrong tool.
The point is, you can't teach a Parisian to operate like a Pole. There can be some level of understanding, but they are different cultures with different "rules".
Tired of wasting time, money, and energy on the wrong tools?
Tired of being stuck, wishing you had more income or could do more of what you want?
