If you were affected by Irma, I just wanted to send out a whole bunch of empathy, love, and well wishes. She was truly the "gift" that kept on giving, but not in the helpful kind of way at all.
We got lucky as our Miami Beach condo is still intact, and made a good choice to ride out the storm in Orlando. While we did lose power here for about 14 hours, it was restored quickly and most of the damage seems to be limited to downed trees and scattered roof shingles.
We are still awaiting the go-ahead for residents to get back on the beach, so will be camped out here for a couple more days. If you are traveling, please be careful as so many traffic lights are out and road conditions are not ideal.
While flipping through TV channels (and expressing even more gratitude for TiVo at home and the ability to forward through commercials), I came across something about Steve Jobs. Every time I hear something about him, the first thought that pops into my head is that he is the perfect example of a misaligned soul.
What do I mean?
Steve Jobs was a brilliant creator and innovative mind - truly his divine gift. He was also super INTENSE, a perfectionist, and socially alienating, which are all signs of total imbalance.
We all have our kryptonite, don't get me wrong. With every superpower comes an opposing force of a weakness. It's the law and order of the Universe. But when you understand what balance means for you at soul level, then your AWARENESS allows you to make the needed adjustments.
Steve Jobs died of pancreatic cancer. From an energetic perspective, the pancreas holds anger, frustration, and conflict. These words perfectly describe Steve's demeanor on a daily basis. It wasn't until he was diagnosed and dying that he took a reflective look at his life.
Our emotional state and imbalances are DIRECTLY CORRELATED to the disease that manifests in our bodies. For me, it was PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), a second chakra infliction. It wasn't until I understood what this meant for me, that I was able to make adjustments both emotionally and lifestyle-wise, so I could reverse the symptoms. I consider myself fortunate to have had this knowledge.
Where are you imbalanced? What areas of your life are not working well for you? And how long are you willing to ignore it or dance around it?
Don't wait until it's too late.
