I was enjoying a lazy Sunday morning, and cracked open my new library book. After reading the first chapter I was inspired to create a short video for you, sharing what I learned. So here I am, camped out in the bedroom since the husband is once again, in the main part of the house watching the last hour of the movie that he slept through the night before.
Speaking of sleeping...
Do you ever lie awake at night, thinking about almost everything, and just wishing your mind would shut up?
This gets me all the time. I start planning grocery lists, rehashing old conversations, and pre-planning future conversations as if I had the power to control the outcome. And all I really want to do is go to sleep.
Here's the thing, the ego part of the mind (the "fear" talking) never shuts up. It keeps us up at night, promotes anxiety, and tries to keep us safe by forever being stuck in status-quo. This isn't really our true selves talking anyway; your spirit doesn't want you to be unhappy or exhausted.
This video shares 1 quick and easy tip to stop the monkey chatter, taken from the book, The Untethered Soul, by Michael Singer. Enjoy! Let me know how it works for you!
