Even though you may really, really want something, whether it's a goal or a feeling, sometimes your subconscious tells you that wanting that most fabulous thing is very, very dangerous.
I had this epiphany the other morning when reflecting on my core desired feelings for 2016. (If you have not checked out Daniele LaPorte's Core Desired Feelings teaching, it is well worth it.)
The premise is that you choose how you want to feel, and base your actions around that.
This was part of my morning ritual for most of 2016 and when I went back to it today, I realized that some of my feelings could actually be perceived as dangerous to my ego.
For example, I want to feel energetically-powerful. I mean really, who doesn't want empowerment? But this would require me stepping outside my comfort zone since I truly feel powerful when I accomplish something big. And there is fear in that.
The monkey mind starts chattering and I may even feel the anxiety in my body.
Another one of my CDF's was authenticity. I do believe I show up pretty authentic, hell some days I am here chatting with you in a T-shirt and no makeup. But if you think about it, authenticity = vulnerability. You risk people not liking you, or saying mean things. There could be embarrassment involved.
Therefore, even though I truly do want to feel this way (they are not someone else's “should's”), doing so can be unsafe.
In today's episode I talk about addressing this from a mind, body, and soul level.
Your monkey mind will chatter you to death.
At soul level, if you have past-life opposing energies of withdrawal and your goal is to be fully self-expressed, well, Houston, there is a problem.
And I already talked about the body.
I go more into what to do with it all in today's video episode.
So take a look at your goals, or your CDF's if you have some.
Which ones are safe, and which ones could be seen as potentially dangerous?
Do some dissecting. See what comes up.
