The majority of my clients come to me seeking clarity in purpose, and a solid knowing of their strengths and gifts. They are usually unfulfilled with what they are currently doing and are questioning what direction to take next.
It can totally be confusing to pick a direction if you have a multitude of interests, learned skills, passions, certifications, and things you happen to be good at.
I know because I spent many wasted years on the hamster wheel of indecision.
I was not confident in what I was putting out there, and kept questioning myself…. “What am I supposed to be doing??”
My perceived, easy solution to my purpose and gift problem was to take a bunch of personality tests, strengths assessments I found on social media, and “discover your archetypes” quizzes.
While majority of the results “sounded” like me, I was not getting the results I wanted by following the guidance of my personality findings. And despite all this new knowledge I had of myself, I STILL had a ton of self-doubt.
Yes, some “personality” tests are certainly more accurate than others. The Meyers-Briggs is often used in career counseling settings and is well-known world-wide. I’m sure you’ve seen someone, somewhere talk about how they are an INFP, or some other combo of 4 letters.
Maybe you figured out that your primary archetype is an Alchemist (mine is) or a Romantic. I frequently use archetypes in my work with people; there is a place for them.
But overall, these assessments are meant to serve as a general GUIDE, to give you additional supports for the decision making process.
Some are even meant for ENTERTAINMENT purposes only and there is really no care for accuracy, but I’ve seen people take it for truth.
Please just know, if you…
- are seeking your greater purpose in the world
- want to feel confident and solid in what you are TRULY good at
- want to build a successful business around your divine gifts
- and want to have a real connection with yourself
…you won’t get the info you are wanting from these sources.
Why?
Because the accuracy of the results relies on YOU and comes from the SAME exact thinking that has you confused in the first place.
Guess what you bring to the table:
- your gender, economic, and societal biases
- your list of what “sounds” good
- other people’s opinions and advice
- the stories you created about yourself based on your experiences or what others have shaped for you
- your subconscious beliefs about what you “should” be doing
So when you are answering all the questions, you are using all the above to make your selections.
And let me tell you, this is NOT who you truly are. This is an EGOIC (and sometimes distorted) view of yourself.
Look, there is nothing wrong with your ego, if it’s a healthy one, that is. But your ego doesn’t care much about truth. It cares about safety and status. Your ego is more excited about what looks, sounds good, and is the least risky, than what actually is.
“You can’t solve a problem from the same thinking that created it.”
~ Albert Einstein
When I use the Akashic Records to obtain soul-level information for my clients, this information is coming directly from Source.
I am asking ABOUT you. It doesn’t require your input. It’s not requiring mine (I have my own set of filters to contend with).
So because it’s coming from truth itself, you get the truth. You get a 100%, for sure, strong “hell yeah”, here are your divine gifts, right from the source.
It’s like picking your veggies right at an organic farm versus buying them in the grocery store after they have been shipped 2000 miles and were mislabeled because someone ran out of the little round stickers.
I’m not telling you to completely avoid personality assessments. They can provide some interesting insights.
But if you would like the confidence and SOLID knowing of who you AUTHENTICALLY are at soul-level, let’s get on the phone and chat.
